What is my purpose in life?
First, you must understand the context of this question. In most of the cases this question “what is my purpose in life?” haunts you when you seem to be lost or you are searching for a meaning of life. One good method to step out of this zone is to create short term targets, achievable which bring you a smile or short satisfaction. Once the target is achieved, set another one a bit higher, always increases the “standards” and keep the “wheel spinning”. Let’s take one example from nature.
A flower will blossom without knowing why, sometimes a bee will gather her pollen, sometimes she will feed the animals, sometimes will put a smile on the person who receive it, she a part of the “circle of life” with multiple possibility. Those possibilities are chosen based on internal action (she chooses to blossom) but also on external actions (the bee chose her, somebody will pick it up, etc). Sometimes, from outside, once we see her entire lifeline, is easier to guess what was her purpose.
For us, if we are lucky enough, at some point we might understand what our purpose is, if not, our descendants will see what our purpose was. Remember the flower will blossom without knowing the purpose of its life, there was a saying “The ride is better than the destination”, so just enjoy the ride. Each road has a destination. In life, you are the driver, the roads you pick is where your “free will” step in, the destination is the “destiny” of the choices you’ve led you to that point.
Enjoy your journey, “drive” carefully and flourish!
