Continuing with another question from LinkedIn editor Andrew Seaman: What’s your advice for people who want to make their current role or workplace more meaningful and inspiring? What have you done in the past to refocus and find purpose in your work?

Pick the job you like. When you choose your career or a career path, is very important to choose something you like, even if some jobs are better paid than others. If you hate what you are doing, most likely you chosen the wrong job. Is never too late for a professional reconversion and start for another role.

Be competitive with yourself. Competition is good, but you don’t have to compete with nobody else, besides yourself: “Be better than you were yesterday, but weaker than you’ll be tomorrow.”

Get out of your comfort zone. When there is a new task, just say yes and figure out how you’ll do it later. I know is a cliche, but when you stay too much in your comfort zone, you won’t learn anything new and sooner or later you’ll get bored.

Learn new things, do new things. In most of the cases our job means repetitive…
